HBO Max Features and Pricing in Thailand

HBO Max is a streaming platform that brings together movies, series, and shows from a wide range of brands under Warner Bros. Discovery in one place, including HBO, Warner Bros., DC Universe, Harry Potter, Cartoon Network, and Discovery. Its content covers everything from acclaimed global series and Hollywood movies to documentaries, reality shows, and family programming.

For those familiar with the names HBO GO or Max, you may wonder how these services have changed over time. This article provides an updated look at HBO Max in Thailand, including its current name, features, plans and pricing, as well as must-watch HBO Max movies and series.

What is HBO Max? From HBO GO to HBO Max

HBO Max is a streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery. In Thailand, the service has gone through several name changes. It was originally known as HBO GO, before becoming Max, which officially launched in Thailand on November 19, 2024. The service later changed its name back to HBO Max. Therefore, if you have seen the names HBO GO, Max, and HBO Max, they do not refer to separate streaming platforms. Instead, they represent different stages of the same service over time. The current name is HBO Max.

The changes were not limited to the name. Compared with the original HBO GO service, HBO Max also offers a broader content library and more comprehensive viewing features.

What features does HBO Max offer? How is it different from HBO GO?

HBO GO primarily focused on HBO content and movies or series available in each region. HBO Max expands the content library by bringing together brands and franchises from across Warner Bros. Discovery on one platform.

In addition to its content library, HBO Max offers several viewing features, including:

• Create up to 5 profiles per account
• Dedicated kids profiles and Parental Controls
• Separate My List and Continue Watching for each profile
• Personalized movie and series recommendations based on each profile's viewing history
• Download movies and series for offline viewing, depending on the plan
• Up to 4K UHD streaming with the Premium plan for supported content and devices

This makes HBO Max a more comprehensive streaming service for both individual and family viewing compared with the original HBO GO service.
