How to Watch TrueID Abroad? Here’s What You Need to Know

TrueID is one of Thailand’s popular entertainment platforms, bringing a wide range of content together in one place, including live TV, movies, series, anime, news, and sports. Many users rely on TrueID to enjoy their favorite content on smartphones, computers, and other supported devices.

However, Thai users who travel, study, work, or live abroad may find that some TrueID content is unavailable outside Thailand. So, can you watch TrueID abroad? Why can you sometimes access the platform but not play certain content? And what can you do if you want to watch TrueID while overseas? This guide explains the common reasons and possible solutions.

What Is TrueID and What Can You Watch?

TrueID is a digital entertainment platform offering a variety of content through its website and mobile app. Users can watch TV channels, movies, series, anime, entertainment shows, news, sports, and more. Some premium content may require an additional subscription or package.

One of the advantages of TrueID is its support for multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and compatible TVs. This makes it convenient for users who want to enjoy content across different devices.

However, access to TrueID content may depend on your subscription package, viewing rights, and the geographical availability of each program.

Can You Watch TrueID Abroad?

If you travel outside Thailand, you may wonder whether you can watch TrueID abroad. When opening the TrueID website or app overseas, you may find that some content you could previously watch in Thailand is no longer available.

This is mainly because certain movies, series, sports events, and live broadcasts may be subject to licensing and geographical restrictions that vary between countries. As a result, using TrueID abroad may come with more viewing restrictions than using the service within Thailand.

Even if you can sign in to your TrueID account, this does not necessarily mean that all content will be available overseas. If you want to watch TrueID abroad, it is important to check the viewing rights and regional availability of the specific content you want to access.

Why Is TrueID Not Working Abroad?

If TrueID is not working abroad, it does not always mean there is a problem with the app or your device. There are several possible reasons, particularly geographical restrictions on certain content.

Geographical and Licensing Restrictions

Some movies, series, sports events, and live broadcasts are licensed for distribution only in specific countries or regions. Streaming platforms may therefore need to restrict access according to the licensing agreements set by content owners.

For this reason, TrueID users traveling abroad may find that certain programs they previously watched in Thailand are unavailable, even when using the same TrueID account.

Location Detection Through Your IP Address

Online services can use your IP address as one of the signals to determine the approximate country or region of your internet connection.

When you connect to the internet from another country, TrueID may detect an IP address associated with your current location. If the content you want to watch is available only in an authorized region, you may encounter restrictions when trying to play it.

How to Watch TrueID Abroad with a VPN

If you are traveling, studying, working, or living overseas and want to watch TrueID abroad, a VPN can route your internet connection through a server in Thailand.

When connected to a Thai VPN server, your internet traffic is routed through that server, and online services will generally see the VPN server’s IP address instead of the IP address assigned by your local network.

One option for accessing TrueID while overseas is BullVPN, which offers servers in Thailand for users who need a Thai connection while traveling or living abroad.

Connected to a VPN but TrueID Still Does Not Work?

If you are connected to a VPN but TrueID still does not work abroad, it does not necessarily mean that the VPN itself is not working. Your app or browser may still be using information from a previous connection.

First, try disconnecting and connecting to another server in Thailand, then close and reopen TrueID. If you are watching through a web browser, try clearing your cache and cookies or opening TrueID in a private or incognito window. You can also check whether your IP address is showing a location in Thailand after connecting to the VPN.

If TrueID still does not work, check whether the content is included in your current TrueID package or has additional viewing requirements. Certain types of content, particularly premium channels and licensed sports, may require an additional subscription or may have specific regional restrictions.

TrueID brings together a wide range of entertainment, from TV and movies to series, anime, and sports. However, when traveling outside Thailand, some TrueID content may become unavailable due to geographical restrictions, distribution rights, or subscription requirements.

For users who want to watch TrueID abroad, connecting to a VPN server in Thailand is one way to route their internet connection through a Thai IP address. BullVPN offers more than 100 servers in Thailand and supports both mobile devices and computers, making it a convenient option for users traveling or living overseas who need to connect through Thailand.

Keep in mind that content availability still depends on TrueID’s terms of service, licensing rights, regional restrictions, and the subscription package associated with your account.
